What we've done in school
This week we have been learning about Pablo Picasso.Pablo Picasso was a famous artist.He was born in 1881.Pablo produced some of the best paintings in the world.His dad was an art teacher.Pablo Picasso died at the age of 91.Also this week we have been learning about Caribou.Caribou is another name for Reindeer.Caribou can be found in Canada,Alaska and Greenland.A male Caribou is called a bull and a female Caribou is called a cow.The average age for a Caribou is between 10 and 15 years old.Caribous live in forests and graze in open fields.For art this week we made Christmas trees.We decorated them with sequence.We put gold stars on the tops of them.It was great fun.All in all we have learned a lot this week.

We were learning all about Egypt last week. We learned that kings were called Pharohs and that Tutankhuman was the most famous Pharoh. We also learned all our songs for our carol singing. My favourite song is  It Must Be Santa. We learned all the actions to the songs too, we can't wait sing them for you. We learned all about Picasso, we also wrote a story about him. My favourite fact about him is that he painted his first painting at eight years old, it was called Le Picado. Thanks too Darragh's dad for coming into our class and telling us all about his work being a pilot it was very interesting!! We are all very excited about Santa. Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!!

We made volcanoes on Wednesday. We made them with clay, baking powder, food colouring and vinegar.  They erupted! We will paint them next week. Today we are making flowers of people who died because in November we remember. The petals will be made of coloured paper. We also did Warm Up On Wednesday. We are learning furniture in Irish. We did a spelling test on english and we are doing a tables test in a while. We listened and sang '' ouch, me bellybird!''. Talk to you next time!

2nd class Ms.Rodgers

In second class this week, we were learning about body parts. In maths we were learing about money and  in geography we were learing about Canada and Slovakia. We were learing about circus parts in Irish. We did P.E with Ms' O Donoghue. Today we had a spelling test.  We also made book marks in art!

Second Class Ms. Collins

This week in school we learned a song called Three Little Pumpkins for Halloween.For art we are doing doodle for Google trying to win ten thousand euro and computer equipment.Everybody has different ideas.We were learning all about the seasons and months of the year.We learnt a song to help us remember the months of the year.In Gaeilge we are doing a Tigi agus Poco puppet show.We enjoy doing a new one every week.Right now we are learning a poem called Windy Night by Robert Louis Stevenson.Some people think the man in the poem is Santa Clause.In History we learnt about Shannon long ago.Catherine, the school`s caretaker, came into our classroom to tell us all about Shannon when she was younger. Did you know that Shannon then had barely any houses? I thought it was funny when Catherine told us that she fell off her scooter which she had instead of a car.Finally, in english we are learning about doctors. That`s it for now. Bye!

Second Class Ms Rogers

This week what we did for art is drawing a picture of Halloween stuff. I drew a pumpkin. We did lots of maths this week. We did adding in our work books. On Wednesday we went out for PE with Mark.We learned about New Zealand. We learned that New Zealand has over 50 volcanoes and we wrote about New Zealand too.

We did writing in our Write On this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. A few weeks ago we drew hedgeogs,but my favourite thing of all was drawing tigers.
